New Mexico has been my home for thirty years. A sense of place informs my work as well as the play of color, texture and light across surfaces. I continue to paint on paper, canvas, wood panels, plaster walls, glass, ceilings and floors. My materials include paint, ink, plaster, pure pigment, casein, American Clay, clay paint, oils, acrylics and metal leafing.
I am a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. I became a decorative painter specializing in glazing techniques and trompe l'oeil in New York city in the mid-1980's. I learned buon fresco painting at the New School, New York, NY.
